COVID 19 & Legislation Update
In California new employment legislation was signed for 2021, which will not take effect until some time in Jan 1, 2022. It is possible that this legislation may effect your business.
But, as for the present, as of the time of this writing (November 16, 2021), two COVID 19 bills were signed by the Governor, and are in effect. These bills have to do with last year's COVID 19 notice & reporting bill.
In addition to the above there is another bill which has changes to the California Family Rights Act (CFRA).
Another item worthy of mention is that come January 1, 2022 there is a minimum wage pay increase, which will be $14 if you have 25 or fewer employees, and $15 if you have 26 or more.
